What a notary does
A notary is a senior advocate who has been licensed by the Licensing Committee at the Ministry of Justice and may issue certificates with special evidentiary standing. What it costs
Notary service fees are fixed by the Notaries (Service Fees) Regulations, 5739-1978, and are updated on 1 January each year. Every notary in Israel charges the same fee for the same notarial act, and there is no room for negotiation. Related legal services, such as drafting the document, are not part of the notary fee. Certification of a translation is charged according to the number of words in the document, so it is worth sending the document in advance by email or WhatsApp to receive an exact cost estimate before you come in.

- Identification: for services that require identification, bring an identity card, a passport or another identity document recognised by law.
