Yes. The regulations set a 50% surcharge on the fixed fee for service on days of rest, and between 19:00 and 08:00 the following morning.
Notary on Fridays and Weekends
Notary services on Fridays and weekends, by appointment, without taking a day off work.
When you cannot come in during the week
Most people work during exactly the hours when offices are open. When a notarial certificate is needed, sometimes in the presence of a spouse, parent or business partner, it is hard to find a time that suits everyone during the week.
The office in Ness Ziona also provides notary services on Fridays and at weekends, by appointment. That way the matter can be dealt with without taking a day off and without putting it off until the following week.
When this makes a difference
- Documents for use abroad: translations and certificates needed ahead of a flight, studies or an immigration process, when time is short.
- Family members from abroad: a relative on a short visit who needs to sign a power of attorney or an affidavit before flying back.
- Real estate transactions: signatures that must be completed before a date agreed in the transaction.
- Several signatories together: when several people need to be present at the same session, the weekend is sometimes the only possible time.
- Urgent situations: hospitalisation, illness or a family event requiring immediate attention.
Which services are provided
All the notarial services provided at the office on weekdays are also available at weekends: authentication of a signature, certification of a true copy, certification of the correctness of a translation, taking an affidavit, a life certificate, a notarial power of attorney and more. The scope of the service is not reduced.
The cost: as set by the regulations
Notary fees are fixed by regulation. For service provided on days of rest, and between 19:00 and 08:00 the following morning, the regulations add 50% to the fixed fee. This surcharge is set by law and is not a decision of the office. The full table appears on the notary service fees page.
Further information: a full explanation of each notarial service, and a calculator that shows the cost under the regulations in advance, can be found at notaryon.biz (notary fee calculator).
How to book
Send a WhatsApp message or call, and tell us which service you need and how many signatories are expected to attend. If a certified translation is involved, it is worth sending the document in advance so that you can receive a cost estimate and make sure the translation is ready in time for the appointment.
Weekend service is provided by appointment only, subject to availability.
